Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
At one·n·ten, Pride isn’t just a celebration, it’s a lifeline. For the LGBTQ+ youth and young adults who walk through our doors, Pride month is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and powerful just as they are. Pride month is a time to honor the journey towards acceptance and equality while creating joyful, affirming spaces where they can celebrate their authenticity, expand their community, and receive support from staff, volunteers, and peers who share their experiences.
Throughout June, I invite you to reflect on the history, resilience, and ongoing fight for equality, equity, and acceptance.
🧱 June 28 – Stonewall Day
We honor the brave community members who sparked the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. Led by trans and queer people of color, including Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, Stonewall reminds us of the bravery it takes to demand change. We must remain resilient and remember that our fight is not over. There are nearly 600 anti-LGBTQ+ bills across the country trying to erase our rights, invalidate our existence, and harm our community. Learn more: Mapping Attacks on LGBTQ Rights
Your support helps us build spaces where LGBTQ+ youth are safe to be themselves, explore their identities, and continue to thrive this month and every day.
